The LG Levitating Portable Speaker plans to go airborne at CES - finleymoderithe
This is so CES. The Consumer Electronics Show up, which kicks off adjacent week in Las Vegas, is ground zero for absurd, oft pointless technologica, and today LG proved that it can get supernatural with the foremost of them. Meet the LG Levitating Portable Verbaliser, a 360-degree spatial relation speaker that stool hover terminated its "Levitation Send" for 10 hours before descending for a recharge.
Otherwise called Model PJ9 (did we overlea PJ8?), the Levitating Portable Speaker features dual passive radiator technology for mid-range and up tones, and there's a subwoofer enclosed in the base send. LG describes the sound as "deep," "flush" and "Saratoga chip," because we're speaking about a speaker here, and no other adjectives will do.
LG Directly, about that levitation. Think electromagnets. Powerful ones. The effect? Attractive, at the least according to LG. Brian Kwon, president and CEO of LG's Home Entertainment, says the Levitating Portable Speaker, "communicates the message that LG is serious well-nig bringing something diametric to the table."
To the shelve, indeed. See how he did that?
We may scoff now, but the fact remains that once CES rolls around this time next week, the engineering science press will be clamoring for kooky stories the like the Levitating Outboard Speaker, and LG will sustain the last laugh. This won't prevent legions of tech bloggers from batting around the speaker wish a very expensive cast dally—"Look! I can't knock it downwards!"—simply LG has been to CES before. It knows what it's getting into.
